With her clear and precise instruction, Liesl will show you how to make this skirt from a single width of fabric, add an elastic casing for the waistband, and finish it with an inventive ribbon hem. This will become your go-to skirt when you crave a sweet and simple project.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Materials:
  • 44-45" wide fabric light-to-medium-weight
  • Approximately 1 yard of 3/4" wide elastic
  • 1 1/2 yards of coordinating ribbon at least 1/4" wide
  • Coordinating thread
  • Measuring tape
Basic sewing tools:
  • Iron
  • Sewing machine
  • Scissors

Easy and simplistic directions. I have been sewing quite a few years but wanted to see if there's anything I can pick up and learn. And I Was happily surprised when she mentioned about leaving the elastic hole, the opening right over the side seam, making it easier to get the elastic in. Thank you friend.
