Jewelry Design with Scotchbonnet!: Working with Wooden Accents
Beginner | 25 min 27 sec
Unfinished wood is a fabulous material to create your own jewelry since it's so easy to personalize. Tracey-Renee Hubbard is a jewelry designer and founder of Scotchbonnet!, an accessories brand known for bright colors and vibrant patterns. Jewelry with wooden accents makes up a large part of her line, and in this class she shows you how to make a pair of earrings and a necklace with wooden charms. Learn how to drill your own holes into wood, paint it to match your personal aesthetic, and attach hardware to bring your accessories together. You'll have just as much fun making your jewelry as you will styling and wearing it. To see the making of the moodboard that Tracey-Renee uses to guide the aesthetic of her jewelry designs, check out her class on Working With a Bead Loom.
