Here’s what you’ll need:
- 8.5” x 11” Kraft-Tex: 1 sheet cut to 6-¼” wide and 11” long
- 9" x 12" drawing paper: 9 sheets torn in half to be 9" x 6"
- 8-1/2” x 11" cardstock, 4 sheets
- Three 6" x 9" kraft or manilla envelopes
- 1 business reply enevelope or long envelope w/ a gently curved flap
- Metal ruler
- Waxed linen thread, or wax and embroidery thread
- Large craft needle
- Awl
- Bone folder
- Cutting mat
- Craft Knife
- Scissors
- Circle punch, 1 1/2"
- Circle punch, 5/8”
- Small paper fastener or brad
- Paperclips
- White gel or paint pen
- Pencil
- 20" Baker’s twine, string or 1/8” ribbon
- 3-/12” x 5-1/2” postcard or photograph
- Pricking wheel
- Corner rounder punch (optional)
- Scor-Tape (optional)

As an experienced book artist, I always like to find other book artists' renditions of travel journals and the like. Bel incorporated envelopes- a must for me- and a little gem of a wrapper, but not glued in, as I've done many times before simply for estethic. This was used to attach other post cards or ephemera. Nice! I liked this stitch. I may have stitched all three signatures separately, which is an option, but I enjoy a new stitch that connects each signature. I love using Kraftex, so this class caught my eye immediately. I do like the stitching around the cover flap, too. Thanks, Bel!

I thouroughly enjoyed this clkass. Bel is a geat instructor, I really appreciated her explanations and why and how to do things and the time she took to explain techniques fully. I've made 4 journals already, 1 to keep and 3 to give away. I've had the Kraft tex for years so was glad to be able to finally put it to great use.
