Amanda Todaro, a sewing educator from Ditto patterns, gives you an introduction to creating garments with knits, beginning with learning about the different stretches in fabrics, sewing your projects, setting in a shirt sleeve, finishing hems with mock cover stitch, and adding a finished neckband. And while a serger is a knit garment's best friend, learn how you can create most knit garments using only your sewing machine.

- Ball point needle for general use
- Stretch needle for lightweight knits
- Twin needle for mock cover stitch
- Scissors
- Iron and ironing surface
- Fabric marker

I have been hoarding some knit fabrics and I feel more confident about starting my projects after watching this video.
One thing I wish was included was how to finish a seam if you don’t have a serger. I think there are a few seams where you wouldn’t use the twin needle, the side seams for example?
