- Cotton or linen backing fabric
- Six-strand embroidery floss or pearle cotton
- Embroidery needle
- Milliners needle
- Tapestry needle
- Embroidery hoop
- Small scissors
- Pincushions
- Thimble or rubber paper sorters
- Beeswax
