Childhood is a dreamy moment time. Fiber artist and handwork teacher Melissa of Hex House Crowns designed these felted heirloom crowns to celebrate the magic of childhood and took inspiration from the sights in sky. In this class she teaches you how to make a celestial crown with a simple needle felting technique and several colors of wool roving and wool batting. Opt to make your cosmic backdrop sparkle with hand sewn sequin stars, then take your needle felting to the next level with the rainbow crown. Melissa shows you how to blend and transition your felted rainbow colors like paint on a canvas, and you'll also learn how to needle felt numbers and letters to personalize your projects. Finally, learn how to sew the blanket stitch to assemble your crown and learn two ways to fasten it, either with long flowy ribbon ties or a stretchy fabric-covered elastic band. Melissa has so much to share about her favorite craft, and with these special crowns, you and the little ones in your life can begin memorable birthday traditions and have the most fanstastical playtime adventures.
