Beginner Knits: How to Knit Baby Booties
Beginner | 1 hour 8 min
In this class, Maggie shows you how to make adorable baby booties two ways—one with a keyhole opening that is perfect for beginners, and the other in a moccasin style that uses slightly more advanced techniques. Once you’ve mastered the knit and purl stitches, these booties are a fun way to learn new techniques like shaping and seaming. I enjoyed this class. It was my first knitting project and Maggie Pace did an excellent job explaining the steps, very doable for a beginner. The only complication I had was concerning the stockinette stitch. I thought 5 stockinette stitches meant 5 knit and 5 purl stitches. After my initial attempt, I realized it meant 3 knit and 2 purl or vise versa. Other than that I really enjoyed this class and highly recommend!
