Materials
Here’s what you’ll need:
  • 1 1/2 yards woven fabric for the bag (linen, cotton, cotton canvas)
  • 1/4 yard fabric for the handle
  • Sewing machine & coordinating thread
  • Hand sewing needle
  • Marking tool
  • Fabric shears
  • Small scissors
  • Ruler
  • Iron and ironing surface
  • Pins
  • Seam ripper

Fabric needed by size (all seam allowances are 1.5"):
  • Large - 18.5" x 52.5" to make a 17" x 51" bag
  • Medium - 15.5" x 43.5" to make a 14" x 42" bag 
  • Small - 11.5" x 31.5" to make a 10" x 30" bag
