Materials
Here’s what you’ll need:
Materials:
- 1½ yards of lightweight cotton fabric (Gretchen uses hot pink polka-dot cotton sateen)
- ½ yard lightweight woven fusible interfacing
- pattern making paper (or tracing paper)
- copy of portrait blouse pattern printed and cut out
- small cork board and push pins
- 2" x 18" clear grid ruler
- paper scissors
- pencil
- french curve
- glass head pins
- tracing wheel and wax pattern transfer paper
- fabric scissors
- hand sewing needle
- thread that matches your fabric
- fabric snips
- 9" regular zipper in a color to match fabric
- 1 package of ½" wide single fold bias tape in a color that matches your fabric
- sewing machine with standard presser foot and zipper foot
- iron and ironing board
