Here’s what you’ll need:

    Materials:
  • 1½ yards of lightweight cotton fabric (Gretchen uses hot pink polka-dot cotton sateen)
  • ½ yard lightweight woven fusible interfacing
  • pattern making paper (or tracing paper)
  • copy of portrait blouse pattern printed and cut out
  • small cork board and push pins
  • 2" x 18" clear grid ruler
  • paper scissors
  • pencil
  • french curve
  • glass head pins
  • tracing wheel and wax pattern transfer paper
  • fabric scissors
  • hand sewing needle
  • thread that matches your fabric
  • fabric snips
  • 9" regular zipper in a color to match fabric
  • 1 package of ½" wide single fold bias tape in a color that matches your fabric
  • sewing machine with standard presser foot and zipper foot
  • iron and ironing board
