In this class, Maggie shows you how to make adorable baby booties two ways—one with a keyhole opening that is perfect for beginners, and the other in a moccasin style that uses slightly more advanced techniques. Once you’ve mastered the knit and purl stitches, these booties are a fun way to learn new techniques like shaping and seaming. For new knitters, we recommend starting with Maggie’s baby blanket and hat classes and then graduating to the bootie class—make all three projects for the ultimate baby shower gift!

I enjoyed this class. It was my first knitting project and Maggie Pace did an excellent job explaining the steps, very doable for a beginner. The only complication I had was concerning the stockinette stitch. I thought 5 stockinette stitches meant 5 knit and 5 purl stitches. After my initial attempt, I realized it meant 3 knit and 2 purl or vise versa. Other than that I really enjoyed this class and highly recommend!
