Here’s what you’ll need:

For a finished quilt top measuring about 28" x 30", you will need twenty 8" x 6" pieces of base fabric: choose mostly light fabrics, some midtones, and a couple dark fabrics
Additional fabric for appliqué: linen, cotton, velvet, silk, chiffon, etc.
Embroidery floss, pearl cotton size 8, or sashiko thread
Small to medium embroidery hoops
Milliners' needles - Heidi recommends the Dritz multipack
Scissors, snips and rotary cutter
Thimbles - Heidi uses pushing and pulling/gripping thimbles
Straight pins and safety pins
Pen and pencil
Air erasable marker or Hera marker
Tracing paper and vellum
Quilting ruler
Needle threader (optional)
A camera and printer may be helpful
