I enjoyed the class. The instructor was mostly very clear but there were a couple of times that she said to do things but didn't explain why. She didn't explain why we would want to double-pin the zipper in place (there were temporary pins and then regular pins but why?) nor did she explain the point that she said to sew a 5/8 seam allowance but use the 6/8 marking on your machine. I've been sewing several years and I've never heard of sewing a 5/8 steam by using 6/8 on your machine and I cannot figure out why she said to do this.
