Since the first time I wrote this, I was able to see fairly well. Now I am blind in one eye but I am STILL anxious to learn and master as many techniques for various arts & crafts skill sets as possible...I am especially anxious to learn how to weave beads into animals, fruit, vegetables, and flowers & how to sew beads onto materials...
I am especially interested in improving my drawing skills, especially in 3D. I have not done embroidery, crocheting, and sewing in over 30 years so I must refresh my know-how skills and improve them.
Learning how to knit will be a challenge to me! My paternal grandmother tried to teach me how to knit when I was very young but I had some sort of mental block & didn't grasp the concept. She also taught me how to crochet, sew, and embroidery.
Quilting is also a special skill I want to learn, I have a couple of good ideas for quilts that I want to create. I invested in this very expensive sewing machine with a lot of bells and whistles (over 500 sewing stitches, embroidery & quilting capabilities). I need to invest in the accessory sets of specialty needles and feet I'll need to create certain projects
I bought some pyrography supplies, I found it to be an interesting form of arts & crafts. I have yet to actually burn the images I transferred onto the practice pieces of wood.
If I can learn cake decorating like a boss, I can save money on baked goods that loved ones, neighbors, and co-workers use for celebratory events.
I'm ready to learn! If there are any recommendations I'm open to all suggestions and referrals that will take me on my learning journey.
