Cricut Crafts: Easy Monogrammed Cosmetic Bag

It's super easy to whip up a custom monogrammed cosmetic bag with your Cricut Maker. Amber from Damask Love shows you how to design your own monogram and cut it out in vinyl on your Cricut Maker, plus you'll learn how you can use the Maker to cut out all of your fabric pattern pieces. Once the elements are cut out, Amber shows you how to install the zipper, box the corners, and assemble the bag. The glittery vinyl monogram goes on last as a special finishing touch. 
Sashiko Sewing
Lisa Solomon
Learn how one stitch can provide you with inspiration for a lifetime of creative practice. Using the running stitch as a base, mixed media artist Lisa Solomon shows you the Japanese tradition of sashiko stitching as well as a plethora of ideas for creative and practical use. You’ll learn how to work with traditional patterns (or make your own designs based on a grid layout) to make decorative pieces or mend and patch garments. No matter the method you choose, you’ll find that sashiko is a great way to slow down and stitch with intention, creating beauty from simplicity.

Acrylic Ink Painting: Playing with Light and Shadow

Learn how to translate photos into gestural paintings that capture the memory of the moment better than a photograph. Painter, Fullbright fellow and world traveler, Missy Dunaway, will walk you through her process of painting with acrylic inks in Moleskine journals. In this class, she uses an impressionistic approach to create a daylight landscape, adding shadowy details for interest. You’ll learn how to create your very own original painting in layers, mixing color on the page and using evocative brushwork to bring the painting to life. 
Pattern Drafting with Knits
Cal Patch
Working with knits can often be intimidating, but in this 2-part course, you’ll learn tips and tricks to help make stretchy fabrics your new go-to textile. Cal Patch shows just how simple it is to construct knitted garments on a home-sewing machine – no serger or overlock machine required. Not only will you learn how to adapt the patterns from her original Pattern Drafting course to work with knits, but you’ll also see how easy it is to design your own wardrobe, including custom tanks, jersey dresses, zip-up hoodies, and more.

Brandon Mably shows you how to make a “magic ball” by tying together lengths of light and dark yarn into a multi-colored ball. Brandon demonstrates how the yarn ball works up and shares his innovative Fair Isle technique in which he weaves in loose ends as he works. This class results in a swatch, but you can apply this technique to any of your knitting projects.
