Here’s what you’ll need:
Part 1 Materials:
  • Drill with screwdriver bit
  • Drill bit (choose size to work with your hardware)
  • Frog Tape or painter’s tape
  • Work gloves
  • Craft knife
  • Putty knife
  • Wood filler
  • Lint-free shop towels or cloths
  • Medium-grit sanding sponge
  • Power sander (optional for large flat surfaces)
  • Vacuum with a nozzle attachment
  • Water-based polyurethane
  • China bristle brush (for applying polyurethane)
Part 2 Materials:
  • Prepared wooden furniture
  • Latex paint in satin finish
  • Foam roller
  • 2 ½” angled sash brush
  • ½” coarse bristle brush
  • Paint tray
  • Shop towels
  • Paint stirrer
  • Paint can opener
  • Plastic bags for covering latex paint
  • Old-fashioned Milk Paint
  • Cup for Milk Paint
  • Painter’s tape
Part 3 Materials:
  • Furniture with non-paper surfaces
  • pre-painted with latex or Milk paint
  • New hardware to add to furniture
  • High quality giftwrap or wallpaper
  • Water-based polyurethane (if using giftwrap)
  • China bristle brush (for applying polyurethane)
  • Bowl for polyurethane
  • Mod Podge in Matte
  • Foam roller
  • Paint tray
  • Shop towels
  • Sanding blocks
  • Scissors
  • Craft knife
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Paint can opener
  • Plastic squeegee or credit card for smoothing out wallpaper
  • Ruler
  • Drill
  • Pencil
