The Double Star Quilt top features a striking combination of light and dark fabrics, with a star-within-a-star motif radiating from the center. Using a mix of special prints and half-square triangles, Amber from Fancy Tiger Crafts shows you how to use free-form patchwork to grow the quilt from the center out. In the class, Amber shows how to make a 54” quilt top, but instructions are included for making a larger 90” queen-size quilt top.
Here’s what you’ll need:
  • For the 54” Baby Quilt: four fat quarters of dark fabric, ten 1/3-yard cuts of light fabrics

A beautiful, yet simpler, version of a double star quilt design! This is one I may be able to complete in a relatively short amount of time! Many patterns, which have very small pieces, can be intimidating and have kept a beginner like me from giving it a try at my age of 77! I am very encouraged by this pattern and feel confident that I can actually complete a larger sized quilt! Thank you, Fancy Tiger!
