Add beautiful hand embroidery to enrich a store bought or handmade garment. Rebecca shows you how to test shapes for design and composition before committing to the embroidery. Thick yarn adds dimension, which is then filled in with a satin stitch for extra texture.
Here’s what you’ll need:
  • Cotton or linen garment with a black and white design
  • 6-8" embroidery hoop
  • Tracing Paper
  • Medium weight tear-away embroidery stabilizer
  • Tapestry needles
  • Embroidery needles
  • Thick cotton thread or yarn
  • Embroidery floss
  • Size 8 perle cotton
  • Pencil
  • Iron-on transfer pen
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Rubber paper sorter
  • Needle nose pliers
